Literary Magazines:

 www.glimmertrain.com:

Glimmer Train is one of the oldest and the best literary magazines in the nation. Nearly 100% short fiction with an occasional poem. The interviews with well-known authors are always the highlight of each issue.

www.herondance.org:

Heron Dance is a favorite of Mark’s. The writing is nearly always touching and provoking, with a heavy emphasis on a philosophy of environmental concern. The magazine tends to change formats on a regular basis but is very well done and includes some nice artwork.

www.grainmagazine.ca:

Grain is the product of the Saskatchewan Writer’s Guild. This quarterly contains equal parts poetry and short fiction, with the occasional essay thrown in. A nice piece of work that annually discovers new Canadian and American writers.

www.pw.org:

Poets and Writer’s Magazine is a must for all serious writers. The six issues of this periodical are packed with interviews, essays on writing, and information concerning writing and publishing. The king of the heap of writer’s magazines.

www.writersjournal.com

A fine magazine for beginning and aspiring writers, poets, and photographic journalists, Writers' Journal  has published two of Mark Munger's articles regarding the difficult world of self-publishing.
